The Inspiration Behind Celtic Blues
    The inspiration for this project/band comes form the front porch, where the sun sits high, pouring it's heat on you.  The sweat drips from your brow and down the back of your neck. You sip on a cool drink, watching the dust rise in a breeze and insects dance in the sunlight. Someone picks up the fiddle and starts playing a tune.  The rest of the instruments start to fall into their places.

     Dawn Desmarais, from Windsor, Ont., Canada,  a Metis artist, has been a vocalist for over 15yrs. Her repertoire expands into blues, celtic, bluegrass, country and roots/folk. She has performed across Canada and a good part of the US.  As well as being a studio vocalist in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, Dawn has picked up the mountain dulcimer and bodhran to weave into her music.

    Dawn's has lived across Canada which has brought lots of stories into her life. Her songwriting takes on the form of storytelling to express the heart in today's world.
   
    She has now taken up the mandolin, and has recorded and is releasing her 2nd CD - UpRooted! Come back for updates and sneak peeks of before and after recordings!
